Sky Scene 03

Norman Wesley Boston, Jr.

July 26, 1963 ~ January 3, 2021 (age 57)

Norman W. Boston Jr., beloved son of Mildred J. Boston and Norman W. Boston Sr. (deceased January 29, 2005) passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 after a long battle with pneumonia. He is survived by his mother Mildred and two sisters, Donna (Boston) Strine and Daphne (Boston) Reeve.
Norman leaves behind a legacy of musical talent, not only through his performances, but through his unique abilities as a spray artist at Paul Reed Smith Guitars in Annapolis, Maryland. Once profiled in National Geographic magazine, Norman was well known to musical giants such as Aerosmith, Carlos Santana, Ted Nugent, and Stevie Ray Vaughan to name just a few. On the local scene, Norman’s bands Abuse Club, Cranial Chaos, and Dang Lizards entertained thousands across the Baltimore and Annapolis areas. Norman’s energy and love for rock music will live on forever in the hearts and minds of his friends and fans. He may not have been known for his athletic achievements, but that doesn’t mean there were none. Not only did he “out drive” his father at the driving range, but he once placed last in a golf tournament at the Bearded Clam in Ocean City. Who knows, perhaps one of his favorite pastimes growing up, having tea parties with his sister Donna, helped prepare him for such victories. Norman’s infectious love of life, commitment to live his life to its fullest, and his desire to spread love to everyone he met, will be sorely missed by his family, loved ones, and friends. While we here on earth are filled with sorrow for our loss, we can all take solace in the knowledge that Stormin Norman is rocking and rolling with angels.

Norman will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 9th, at 1:00PM at Loudon Park, 3620 Wilkins Avenue, Baltimore, MD. COVID restrictions preclude a large gathering, only virtual hugs are encouraged. Anyone who would like to pay his or her respects is asked to do so by simply driving by the burial site during or sending a virtual hug.
