Obituary

June N. Smith (nee Hebstreit) 98, of Baltimore, Maryland, died peacefully in her sleep from complications of COVID-19 Friday morning, December 11, 2020.  June is preceded in death by her adoring Husband, Sidney B. Smith, Sr.; her loving Son, Sidney B. Smith, Jr.; her parents, Armin and Rosella Hebstreit; seven sisters and their husbands; two brothers and one sister-in-law.  She is survived by her daughter, Darlene J. Smith, of Baltimore; two Grandsons and their wives--James and Heather Smith of Howard County and Todd and Lisa Smith of Baltimore County; five Great Grandchildren--Connor, Annabella, Nicolo, Caralina, and Mallory.  She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Dolores Hebstreit and numerous nieces and nephews.  June lived a long and happy life surrounded by those she adored and the books she loved.  Due to COVID-19, there will be no viewing and the funeral at the locally-owned Loudon Park Funeral Home will be by invitation only.  June will be laid to rest at Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland.  Please consider a contribution in her memory to the ENOCH PRATT LIBRARY, 400 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 or the MARYLAND SPCA, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21211.
