December 20th, 2019, Jeffrey Allen Fish, age 62, of Middletown, MD, passed into God’s loving arms while awaiting a heart transplant at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Born June 23rd, 1957 in Baltimore, MD., Jeff was the son of the late Edward Houlk Fish Sr., and Melvina Viola Fish (nee Ripley).
Loving father of Joshua A. Fish, of Glen Burnie, MD, and Jessica A. Fish of Pasadena, MD. Loving step-father to Trevor C. Hillier III and wife Lauren of Mt. Wolfe, PA., Melinda L. Schrum and husband Jason, of Jefferson, MD., and Andrea M. Hillier, and significant other Rosevelt, of Bunker Hill, WV.
Loving Grandfather to John Jr., and Isabella R. Fitzgibbons, of Pasadena, MD.,
Trevor IV, Camden and Liam Hillier of Mt. Wolf, PA., Anthony Schrum of Jefferson, MD., Brendyn and Jayden Holland and Maiya and Eli Swain, of Bunker Hill, WV.
Jeff was predeceased by brothers Edward H. Fish Jr., of Gaithersburg, MD; Kenneth F. Fish and wife Beverly A. Fish, of Glen Burnie, MD, Melvin Leonard Fish, of Glen Burnie, MD; and granddaughter Caroline Schrum of Jefferson, MD.
Jeff is survived by his fiancée Christine Stapf Hillier, of Middletown, MD; Sister Patricia Ann Mary Carroll and brother-in-law, Craig, of Linthicum, MD., Brother Ronald S. Fish and Sister-in-law Sharon Broemsen of Littlestown, PA., Brother Douglas J. Fish of Brooklyn Park, MD. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeff retired this year after a career of 30 plus years as an owner/operator driving his big rigs across the country.
Jeff was an avid golfer, loved to travel, loved to fish, especially rock fishing on the bay, was a model train enthusiast, classic car lover, and especially loved watching the Ravens and Orioles play. He enjoyed tinkering and was always building, repairing, or gardening.
Jeff enjoyed spending time with his loving fiancée, Chris, his children and step-children, especially all of his grandchildren, his numerous friends and family and his life long buddy Billy (Fitz) Fitzgerald.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the families on Saturday January 4th, 2020, Noon to 2:00 PM, at Loudon Park Funeral Home, 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore, MD 21229. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Stepping Stones Fund. Indicate on your donation that it is in memory of Jeff Fish for the Stepping Stones Fund.
